Research
The heart of technological innovation is the research. The
collaboration of the ADR group company study centres with famed international
university institutes and with the most qualified vehicle manufacturers, from the
starting stages of a new project, means being able to define product
characteristics and functions based on customer expectations and growing
together. Experience and competence are at the service of innovation and safety.
Developing new products and improving production are only possible through
ongoing experimentation with new technical solutions and simulating the most
critical service conditions. The ADR test centre, an integral part of the Uboldo
plant, is the only one in Europe able to submit axles to a full test. The ADR
roller test bench is the heart of the laboratory and can test axles of up to 15
tons, at a speed of 100 km/h, thanks to its 500 kW power.
And then… the final step: the specialist field with lab vehicles designed in ADR
combined with the collaboration of main manufacturers.
Homologation
ADR braking axles are homologated to European Community
directive standards. The technical characteristics of ADR products are
recognised in all Community area Countries and in those connected to them.
Having homologated axles means that manufacturers can safely define vehicle
characteristics from very early project stages and create a product in line with
the standards in force in industrialised countries: Thus the double goal of
standardising your product and widening your commercial horizons is met. The ADR
customer also knows that it can count on an expert, prepared partner in both the
design stage and during field testing. Along with conformity to Community
directives, ADR products are also approved by local standards: for example, by
TUV in the German Federal Republic and by CEMAGREF and UTAC in France.
Environment
ADR end Colaert means long-lasting quality, robustness,
reliability and that’s not all. For some time now, the ADR-Colaert name has been
strongly linked to the most innovative and advanced technologies for
manufacturing whilst respecting the environment.
An important example is the advanced varnishing plant that has been introduced
to the ADR and Colaert premises. The varnish used is only water-based, thus
cancelling the atmospheric polluting effect completely while safeguarding
workers’ health as they no longer have to breathe toxic fumes from solvent-based
varnish. However, these improvements have not harmed quality, on the contrary, the
varnish lasts longer and resists the most hostile atmospheric agents.
